First Presbyterian Church on Mill Street is the perfect historic church for an intimate evening ceremony.

Their wedding party was gorgeous too! The girls dolled up in dresses from Twirl Boutique and flowers abundant from PG Howard Designs.

The Carrick House was all aglow and looked so beautiful! This was the perfect venue for their modern meets southern charm reception!

My favorite look was the wedding party's table. Simply gorgeous and functional for intimate conversation.

After a cocktail reception in the historic house, guests found their personal escort cards to be directed to the appropriate table....then....

Once they found their table, their place setting included a personalized menu made just for them (click to enlarge the detail)! Its this extra attention that make your guest appreciate all your efforts.

Guests were passed Ale 8 One and Mint Juleps.

The bride had fabulous accessories! The shoes were a gift from one of her close friends...A-MAZ-ING!

The bride's dad painstakingly prepared bourbon barrel heads for guests to sign in lieu of a guest book. These will be used in the couples home for future entertaining/decor.

On a break from dancing to the Jimmy Church band, guests could sip a little bourbon on the patio, try a cigar or snuggle by the fire. What a great night!

Each guest table had a different monochromatic look, one focal flower echoing from the buffet piece.

The bottom of each contained a surprise for seated guests too.

Patio tables were graced with a few more monochromatic flowers for color.

Every flower featured inside made an appearance outside too.

The reception was held in a renovated tobacco barn. This was the father of the brides' project and it turned out amazing! The smaller side attached room (the second blue roof) was converted to a bar that serviced guests from the inside and outside. I enjoyed visiting the farm for our meetings to see the progress of changes to this barn. It is truly a dad's masterpiece from the heart for his daughter.

Lighting included paper lanterns over guest tables. Fun sunflowers centerpieces echoed plantings outside the barn.

More lanterns hung over the dancefloor. Open barn doors provided our backdrop for the band....just the beautiful blue sky....perfect!

Two yellow and white tents offered overflow seating and guests a chance to get away from the music and enjoy the evening air.

The mother of the bride hand-painted the tableclothes (in 3 different designs!) with her sister. This wedding was definitely a labor of love for the entire family.

A table for guestbooks and a farm cart for gifts made a lovely entrance. Signs were made by the bride's younger sister.

An adjacent red barn held buffet lines for the 400 guests.

Bales of hay and firewood were left where they belong in the red barn. They just added to the ambiance of the bbq buffet.

Perfect, beautiful, full salmon-colored dahlias were a tough find in this heat wave. We had them Fed Ex'd the day before her wedding to ensure they were perfect!

Vintage paper poms on these modern alterpieces gave a sneak peak to guests to what was to come at the reception.

The reception was held at the Signature Club. Note the pool colored dress with tangerine shoes in the background (bridesmaid!).

Ice Cream encased in a towering ice sculture again mimics the wedding's signature colors. Very cool (pun intended)!

Yummy cake is also vintage inspired! LOVE these paper flowers.

I love greeting guests with fresh floral wreaths. Nothing says "beautiful wedding ahead" like they do!

This historic church has some of the most beautiful stained glass I've seen.

Bouquets of hydrangea (the bride's favorite!) on the back window sills, wrapped in platinum/yellow ribbon, sealed with their monogram.

Monogram programs greeted guests at the back of the church, on a beautiful antique table.

Saturday's reception was held at Champions Trace Golf Club.

Sweet white lanterns and signature platinum/yellow ribbons waved at guests as they arrived. Later lit, they were fabulous as guests headed out for the sparkler exit of the bride and groom.

Fun candy filled favors greeted guests at the guestbook table and at their individual seats.

Hexagon favor jars featured miniature candies with monogram.

Polka-dot cake was fun (and yummy)! We also passed out cupcakes (and color books) for the kids.

"Lots of hydrangeas" were the brides specifications for the reception. We delivered!

Guest tables alternated with tall and short vases of hydrangea. All with platinum/yellow ribbon, sealed with their monogram.

Loved the Kentucky flavor of reserved signs encased by horseshoes. We also used encased horseshoes to label all the food on the buffet.

Bridal bouquet of white hydranea, mini green hydrangea, yellow freesia, green hypericum. Bridesmaid bouquets are in the background. The bride incorporated calla lilies in their bouquets because they each carried them in their own weddings. Love that personal touch!
